Pure white, fragrant bloom
Early blooming lilac
Heavy bloom early May with 6" stem ending cones of small, pure white, single flowers
Tight, dense, full form and deep green foliage
Great in a border planting or large foundation area
The pure white bloom on this precocious, early blooming Lilac will amaze you while its ability to bloom heavily at an early age will make you jump for joy. Lots of the old fashioned vulgaris and French Hybrid types seem like they take forever to bloom in the landscape or, when they do, they seem like they are rationing flowers. No such problem with 'Mount Baker'! It blooms early and heavily with 6" stem ending cones of small, pure white, single flowers that think nothing of filling the whole yard with their sweet fragrance when they burst into bloom in early May. Even better, its tight, dense, full form and deep green foliage make it a great looking presence in any border planting or large foundation area when it is not in bloom. Plant 'Mount Baker' in full to half day sun and in moist, well drained soil for outstanding growth and bloom that you can depend on and cherish year after year.
