Picea glauca (White Spruce)

Picea glauca is a large evergreen with thin, flaky bark, and cylindrical bale brown cones. Needles are blue-green in color, half-inch long, and are quite aromatic when crushed. Find this tall conifer in upland areas and near lakes and streams.
